Vila Alba Resort, Carvoeiro (Lagoa)

The hotel rooms were exceptionally clean and equipped with a kitchen and a good-sized bathroom plus a spacious living room, albeit needing a refresh. The indoor pool closure was a drawback, and the lack of provided in-room coffee after the first day without a charge was inconvenient. Despite the absence of irons, the renovated decor was very appealing, although the room charge seemed high compared to similar hotels in the area.

The hotel rooms were phenomenal, surpassing my expectations from the pictures. The decor was beautifully renovated, offering everything you could need. However, the lack of advance notice about room bookings was a minor inconvenience.

The hotel had beautiful and spacious rooms, but the lack of a lock on the toilet door was a bit awkward. The service was friendly and helpful, although somewhat inefficient at times. The location was remote but offered stunning pools overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The dining options were good but with limited choices. Overall, a pleasant stay with some minor inconveniences.

The hotel offers spacious and well-appointed rooms with a kitchenette and living room, which was lovely. The service provided was amazing, incredibly helpful, polite, and always making that extra effort, especially with our kids. The location is amazing, in a very quiet spot but close to some of the prettiest beaches. Dining was excellent, with lots of fresh pastries, meats, eggs, smoked salmon, berries, cheeses, and yogurts with a stunning view. The facilities were top-notch and well-maintained.

Our stay at the hotel was overall pleasant. The rooms, although just average in decor and comfort, provided ample space for our needs, making it fine for simple meals and ensuring a comfortable stay. The service was great, with the staff being friendly, professional, and always ready to assist. The location, although requiring a bit of effort to reach, was peaceful and offered access to a beautiful cove beach, creating a relaxing atmosphere. The dining experience, while below the Portuguese average, offered some locally caught fish and satisfactory meals. The facilities provided were decent, catering to our basic needs.
